I am thankful for my 3 beautiful Children Kevin, Isabelle and Alexis!

We complain a lot. The other day I had errands to run and I noticed there was frost on my window. I had to dig out the scraper from a box in the garage. As I cleared the window I complained about Michigans weather and the dread the next freezing 12 weeks would be. As I started to drive, I realized the gas tank was empty. I stopped, filled up the tank and almost immediately started complaining about the cost of fuel. How could it cost $70.00 to fill up the car I whined. My next stop, the grocery store which was out of the diet root beer I like. The stupid supply chain crisis had me complaining again. This week millions of families will get together and we can complain the day away or we can Stop complaining. Instead we could give thanks and have gratitude for all the amazing things in our life. If you are not sure what to be thankful for get a piece of paper and a pen. Number one, thank you for allowing me to be alive. Number 2, Thank you for making me healthy enough to walk over and get this paper and pen. number 3, Thank you for this incredible brain that allows me to read and write. Number 4, Thank you for the gift of sight which allows me to look out the window and see the beautiful leaves blowing across the lawn. Number 5, Thank you for the shelter that is protecting me from the wind that blows those leaves. You get the idea. Every little thing we do is because of a gift from God and while we take them all for granted they all are massive gifts worthy of our gratitude. I realize I have more than most and this week we had a number of great interviews with people who run organizations that help those with less. If you are someone who is blessed to have more than most and are looking for places that are really good at making sure your donations go as far as possible to help as many people as possible take a listen and become inspired to share your good fortune. I am grateful for so much and will be sure to have a thankful heart.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Kevin
