This week we interviewed former Donald Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows just hours after the house panel investigating the January 6th breach voted in favor of bringing contempt charges. You might think the breaking news development that could cause him his freedom would lead him to cancel our interview, but it did not. He came on air and candidly answered all our questions as best as he could.
The president is claiming Executive privilege and Mark Meadows says he can not release documents the former president says are privileged. Meadows says he hopes it doesn’t come to him going to jail over the issue but he plans to stand on principal.
Meadows tells us he is being transparent with the american people by turning over all non privileged information. He says he is stuck between a rock and a hard place with the former president saying some information is privileged while some members of Congress say it is not. Meadows tells us there is no criminal intent here and that he is looking to the courts for direction. Mark Meadows tells us flat out that he had no advance notice of any plans of an insurrection prior to January 6th. Meadows also discusses what it was like as chief of staff when they first learned about the pandemic. Click on the button below to hear the interview!
